V2 Cigs
V2 Cigs is our choice as the best electronic cigarette on the market. The vapor clouds and throat hit are both impressive (but the throat hit isn’t overpowering), and the number of options available (flavors, designer batteries, and so on) is outstanding.
When we tested the V2 Cig, we found that the experience was quite similar to smoking a tobacco cigarette; the feeling on the inhale, the nice taste, and the thick exhale all caught our attention immediately. We particularly liked the fact that their battery doesn’t shut off after five seconds, and that there’s an option of a manual battery (there’s a small button you can push as you inhale) which allows you to control the amount of vapor you take in, allowing an even deeper drag than on most other brands.
V2 offers a nice variety of flavored cartridges, including three different tobacco flavors (Red, “refined” and Turkish), menthol and peppermint, and five other flavors, our favorites being coffee, vanilla and cherry, with mint tea and cola also in the lineup, plus an assortment of limited edition flavors. There are five nicotine strengths available for each flavor, from extra strength through full-flavor, light, ultra light and zero. The cartridges lasted the equivalent of a little more than a pack of cigarettes.
We tested the Ultimate Kit from V2, which includes 25 flavor cartridges and three batteries (you can choose between short, 110mm, and 140mm and you can choose between automatic and manual – and no, 140mm is not a misprint – it’s an elegant looking battery with a long life). There’s also a small, portable charging case that is included, allowing you to just charge the case itself, and then you’re able to charge your batteries while you’re away from a power source for the day or night. The kit also comes with a USB “power cig” so you can attach directly to your computer and vape at your desk.Car and AC chargers are included as well, as are a carrying case and a lanyard to wear around your neck for easy access to your electronic cigarette.
V2 Cigs has hopped onto the style bandwagon as well; we’ve already mentioned their extra-long battery which definitely has a feminine look to it. But they also have colored batteries – sleek blue, chrome and black – which can also make a fashion statement as you vape, particularly when paired with their cartridges which are color-coded depending on flavor.
If you prefer to fill your own cartridges (which can be messy at first, but also saves a lot of money in the long run) V2 offers e-liquid as well as “drip tips” in rubber or aluminum. You can also order custom-made cartridges, which allow you to specify exactly what flavors and strengths you would like.
They’ve also implemented innovative cartridge packaging, packing them in foil to preserve freshness and putting a freshness date on every package. And batch reports are available for your orders, giving you a custom report on your cartridges each time you order. To us, this shows that V2 is a company that’s on the cutting edge of providing a good customer experience.
You should be able to tell by now that we were quite impressed with V2 Cigs, and although the competition from South Beach Smoke and Green Smoke was tough, they received our top rating. We don’t think you can go wrong by choosing them.
